Rodica Mocanu is an artist who paints Naive - primitive and childish-like style paintings. She also does winter landscapes, modern still lives, portraits, collages and surrealist paintings. She uses several techniques like oils, acrylics, ink, nail polish, water color, gleatter and foil on glass.

Rodica also does comission work.

She was born in Galati, Romania and studied art in Galati, Romania and Los Angeles at the LA City College for Fine Arts from 1994 to 1998. She also has a Degree in Music theory and base Piano, the reason why many of her paintings include music instruments.

Rodica had many art exhibitions in USA: Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Evick Room Gallery, Davinci Hall Gallery
( Vermont blvd. ), but also in her home country Romania, in several galleries in Galati city. She exhibited her art in Hollywood city at Evick Room between 2008 and 2018 where she did paintings of celebrities and other still lives and landscapes. She owns her own studio and paints full time. She also paints furniture and interiors and small objects for the house.

She was published Meridianul Newspaper, who wrote about her artistic career.

She is also a teacher, doing private painting and guitar classes for the community and for the International SEIU.
